The story of my life: my story and my lessons from the past...........

Fondan figurines are to me much more than cake decorations – they are stories, emotions and small works of art. When I look back at my life today, it's hard to believe how it all started. It all started with a mother's wish-to make her child a special cake that no one else will have. I wanted it to be not just a candy, but a real little piece of art. This is how the first figure was created – Uki bubica 🐞 New challenges soon followed: noddies, Gormites, zombie Plant, Little Red Riding Hood, sympathetic Penguins, cheerful Minions, unusual Hello Neighbor characters, planes, firemen, Minecraft, Naruto, and many others.

At the time, I had no experience working fondan figurine. I didn't know which tools were used, which fondan behaved best, how the colors mixed, nor how to make the proportions perfect. All I had was enormous desire, love and patience. My vision was clear – every figure I make must have a "soul", a facial expression, and a character that will cheer the one for whom it is intended. That's why I wanted each of these fondan figurine it will be special and unique.

🚀 First steps in making fondan figurines

I remember that first attempt. On the table were powdered sugar, a piece of fondant and a few makeshift tools I found in the kitchen. I saw everything I knew in a few pictures on the internet. But even though the UKI bug was far from perfect, when I put it on the cake and saw a smile on my son's face – I knew it was worth it. This was the beginning of my love for fondano figurines, which later became my favorite part of every cake.

I had no idea that this little figure would open the door to a whole new world for me. I started researching, watching tutorials, reading about the techniques of making fondan figurinebut also to experiment. Each new figure was a new lesson. Some attempts ended perfectly, and some deformed, shot, or simply looked ridiculous. But it was those moments that taught me the most.

Fond figurines of fondan that marked the beginning of the work

After the Uki bug, new challenges emerged. Nodi was the first character with more complex clothes and a hat, so I learned how to make fondan look natural. The gormites opened the doors of the fantasy world to me-their armor and colors demanded precision and careful combining of tones.

With Zombie Plant fondan figurine sam encountered "scary" elements for the first time – it was supposed to look a bit creepy, but also likable, which is a challenge in itself. Little Red Riding Hood was an opportunity for me to practice working with tiny details on my clothes, and the Penguins taught me how simple forms can look beautiful when given attention.

Minions brought me a lot of laughter – his expression is an inexhaustible source of fun. At Hello Neighbor figure, I learned to work with asymmetrical shapes and “human” proportions. The planes asked for a completely different approach, because they consisted of smooth surfaces and technical precision, and the firefighters brought me a lot of emotions, because I was doing them for a child who dreams of becoming a firefighter.

Fond why fondan figurines are more than cake decorations

Many people think that fondan figurines are just sugar in color. For me, they are small pieces of sculpture. Each figure has a story, emotion, and purpose. When a parent orders a figure of a favorite hero for their child, it's not just a decoration – it's a way to show how much they know him and how much he means to him.

Making fondane figures requires patience, precision, and imagination. You need to know how fondan reacts to temperature, moisture, colors, how to shape it so that it remains firm yet tender to the touch. It's a combination of Art, Craft and love.

My personal approach to creating a

Over the years, I've developed my own way of working. I've learned that proportions have to be accurate, but even small deviations can give Charm. I found that colors should be mixed slowly, so that their fullness is not lost.

And most importantly, I realized that there are no “universal cakes” that apply to everyone. Every artist finds his way.

That's why I always tell my students on the online courses of creating figurines from fondan-learn the basics, but add your own stamp. Only in this way will your figure be special and recognizable.

The mistakes I've learned the most

Bilo je i dana kada sam želela da odustanem. Figurice od fondana su pucale, boja se razlivala, proporcije nisu bile dobre. Ali svaka greška me naučila nečemu.

What began as a hobby and love of the child slowly grew into a serious business. People began to notice my fondant figurines and call me with orders.

Over time, I realized that I wanted not only to make figures, but also to pass on my knowledge. That's how my parents came to be online courses.

Today, through an online course of creating fondane figurines, I teach others how to make their first figures, how to master the technique and how to create their own style. I am very pleased to see that the students of the course, even without previous experience, produce amazing results.

Umetnost art that lasts

For me, making fondane figurines will never be just a job. It's my way of expressing creativity, of conveying emotion, and of bringing joy into someone else's life.

Every piece I make is a part of me – my time, effort and love.

So when I'm asked how it all started, I always smile and think of those little figurines from fondana Uki Bubi. Because it was from her that everything started – and today, after all these years, I still feel the same excitement when I finish a new figure and see the smile of the person who will get it.
